It’s only a matter of weeks since we wrote an item about a planning application to convert the upper floors of nos. 2 and 4, High Street into flats. We made the point that the council’s published plans to redevelop Camberley’s ‘London Road Block’ would almost certainly involve demolishing the buildings concerned; didn’t the owners know?
Anyway, a somewhat similar application has now been submitted to convert the upper floors of nos. 6 and 8, High Street.
What’s going on? Don’t they know that the building will be flattened soon? Or perhaps they know that it WON’T be flattened soon. Where would that leave ‘regeneration’?
