Although much of the coverage of The Camberley Eye is of relatively mundane matters, it also has a serious purpose. This is to provide input to, and influence, authorities when planning, transport and other issues arise which are of significance to local people.
In order for it to have credibility as a representative of Camberley residents, the ‘Eye’ must have a clear statement of its purpose and how it operates. This is reproduced as its constitution, below:
Hi there, I just saw your great article on Jacks. I work with Jacks and we are all very excited about the new store that will open next month. We’ll be running a weekeend celebration when we do, plus a VIP launch party. We are in fact opening our latest store in Richmond this evening, and while I know it’s short notice, I’d like to invite you to. We’d love to show you what you can expect from us and how keen we are yo be very much involved within our communities. For instance we are sponsors of the local football u-15 in Clapham. Earlier this year we were named Male Grooming Business of the Year, but even before then we had become a destination barbers and so we hope ultimately to draw people into Camberly. I hope you can make it to our Richmond launch at 5 Hill Rise so we can give you a glimpse at what we can brig to Camberly. See you later maybe. Yrs Su Clark
Many thanks, Su, for the invitation. You won’t see me there, but I wish Jacks every success
