No parking in the High Street – just today?

We’ve been fairly deluged with notices/announcements telling us that the High Street is going to be closed to traffic from tomorrow for over a year.  So we’re more than a bit puzzled by this sign – and there are others like it in the High Street – that says parking restrictions will be for tomorrow (only)?  Is there an explanation?

    • Actually, what I think it means is that, if you park in the High Street overnight Sunday, you have to leave by 6:00am Monday, when the road will close. The mention of 6:00pm is, I suspect, an irrelevant red herring which just causes confusion.
