It’s difficult to get close to the building work at Ashwood House – and we don’t even try. But we were intrigued by the mobile crane that appears there from time to time. Unless we’re mistaken the crane operator’s cab tips backwards when the jib is raised – making it much easier for the operator to see what he’s doing. Maybe that’s a common crane feature – but we’ve not noticed it before.
