More flats – pretty obviously

Hayward House – very visible from the roundabout near the railway crossing – will soon be no more.  It’s on its way to becoming flats – and offices.  More precisely, the demolition is for the: “Erection of a four storey building to provide Class A2/Class B1a offices at ground floor with residential development above comprising 4no. two bedroom and 5no. one bedroom units with associated accommodation following the demolition of existing buildng.”

    • I’ve not read all the paperwork, but the normal argument, of course, is that small numbers of town centre flats don’t have to provide parking. But the documentation does say “There is currently no formal parking on site and given the sites location and very good access to public transport there is none proposed.” So there we are!

      • And, because of our fabulous public transport system there is always a bus going to your required location at exactly the time that you require it so no-one in Camberley needs a vehicle of their own any more!! Pigs might fly, too!!
