A simple parking question

If you walk along Upper Gordon Road, you’ll pass Bentley Court.  On a pillar by the entrance is a notice asking residents to park facing the building.  Why not back in?

  1. Because on nice summer days, the gentle elderly residents may like to open their French windows and not have exhaust fumes polluting their sittings rooms. For once in a blue moon this is actually a sensible sign!

  2. At a guess it’s to stop the exhaust fumes going into the ground floor windows, which are immediately adjacent?

  3. Because of the exhaust fumes and the discolouration they could make on the building. Penny Skelton
