Christmas is still with us!

Yesterday was a grey and fairly miserable day.  So it was good to see the Christmas lights outside and along the Atrium glowing away.  Twelfth Night? – bah, humbug!

  1. From the Christian point of view…..why else would there be Christmas…….the rule is to leave decorations up at least until Twelfth night when the star led the three wise men to The Manger. Therefore decs do not have to come down on 12th night but stay up. Apparently the queen leaves them up till February at her Christmas home, Sandringham.

  2. Well, yes, you’re undoubtedly right. I remember one vicar who used to leave the ‘Christmas tree’ up in the church until all the needles had fallen off. Twelfth night is a tradition, nothing more (or less).
