Kings Court – go, then stop, then go…

As is pretty well known, work to convert the Kings Court office block – near the level crossing – into flats came to a halt months ago.  But, happily, there are signs of a renaissance.  Workmen (we think they’re all men) have been spotted in the glass ‘atrium’ at the front of the building on and off the last few weeks.

There is one obvious development.  If you look at the photo above, you might just about make out the green plastic sheet that’s been on the roof of the ‘atrium’ for years.  Presumably it’s a temporary ‘fix’ for a leak.  But we noticed yesterday that scaffolding and green netting have appeared on the roof;  we guess that, at long last, permanent repairs are underway.  You can see the difference in the photo below.

  1. Hmmmmmm..2018 is supposed to be “the year of the women” …think it has to do with them getting the vote in 1918( not all of them of course) that came later! Still think we need one for Kings Court project!
