We’ve all been told that the Mall – as it’s still known at the moment – is being upgraded, starting with Grace Reynolds Walk. We’re not going to record every time something happens, but this is the first time that we’ve been aware of ‘physical’ work (other than re-painting) under way. So, for the record, here’s a photo of the overhead ‘service duct’ with moulded panelling removed, and another photo showing the site entrance in the former Fun Foto Factory shop.
Pedants like us may notice that the safety instructions on the window of the site entrance say that eye protection must be worn ‘at all times’, AND that it should be worn ‘where appropriate’. There’s not necessarily a conflict between these two statements, but there probably is. (As it happens we’ve drafted an item about ‘officials’ who don’t read what they’ve written, so they don’t notice mistakes. Maybe we’ll publish what we’ve written before too long – once we’ve checked it for mistakes, of course!)
