Last August’s meeting of the borough council executive discussed the 2015/2016 end-of-year Performance Report). The minutes of the meeting note: “Members queried the current status of the Land East of Knoll Road report, but noted that the target dates had been missed whilst a decision was awaited from Surrey County Council.”
Now, we’re not sure what the Knoll Road report was about – or supposed to be about – but the council’s Annual Plan at the beginning of 2015/2016 stated that a Key Priority was “To deliver an improved Camberley Town Centre .. including …provision of leisure facilities in Knoll Road” So, we’ll guess that the report should have been about leisure facilities.
So, a “decision” was overdue last summer. Has one emerged since? The library, the museum, the theatre and Arena have all been the subject of debate, so we’d love to know what is actually going to happen in Knoll Road. And when, of course.
