Repairing the ravages of time.

Umpteen years ago, the borough council wrote that it wanted to improve the junction between Knoll Road and Portesbery Road, by removing (at least part of) the old brick granary building.  Much more recently, a council document suggested that the building – which we believe it now owns – could be preserved as part of Camberley’s heritage.  However, some weeks ago the conflict seemed to be resolving itself.  The building was starting to fall apart of its own accord!

However, the council – we believe it was the borough council – has popped along there and repaired and repointed the brickwork.  It’s quite a neat job; full marks!

    • Yes, I briefly spoke to the chaps doing the work. I think the first thing is/was to repair the woodwork. The fellow want sure what would go back afterwards, but he thought it would be the same thing again.
