WHSmith and the Post Office

We’ve not heard or read anything lately about the plans to move Camberley’s post office into the WHSmith building.  But we should’ve mentioned that things have moved fast, and an application to install a new sign over the front of WHSmith was submitted early in January.  As yet, this hasn’t been given the green light, but it probably will be.  Not that we think the artwork is very inspired!

  1. What would be the suggestion “A place to get your pension, buy stamps, cash cheques, renew passports, apply for driving licences etc “not sure all this would fit on.

  2. I have been waiting for this for some time – Scarbourgh, Brighton and Bognor Regis have all had their post offices closed and relocated in W H Smith shops. I feel most sorry for the likes of the Card shop opposite the Post Office in Princess Way. What will Locating the Post Office in W H Smith mean ( Who are the staff employed by, do W H Smith get paid by the Post Office, will P O employees loose their jobs? Sad that the footfall in Princess Way which has already been diminished by the closure of BHS impact further on small businesses.
