A walled garden in the town centre

Earlier this month we showed a ‘roof garden’ on the Atrium.  But this time it’s a walled garden – on the side of the former ‘Bensons for Beds’ building in the High Street.

We’re no horticulturalist, but the plant doesn’t look to us like rosebay willowherb, which colonised bomb-sites during the war.  So at least the top of the High Street doesn’t look like a bomb-site…. yet.

  1. No, but it is one of the other great bomb-site colonisers, Budlia. The old Police Station/Courthouse site exemplifies the genre
