At the very end of last year, a planning application was submitted for 6 – 8 High St, in Camberley. The application proposed the “change of Use to provide Class A1 retail unit with 1 two bedroom and 2 one bedroom flats over.”
Much more recently, the following has been submitted for the same addresses: “Prior Notification for the change of use of the first and second floors from B1 (office) to C3 (residential) to provide 1 x 2-bed and 3 x 1-bed flats.” In other words, four flats instead of three.
Almost anything that stops the top of the High Street from deteriorating further is to be welcomed. We guess that the council will take the same view.
