We’ve commented before about the parking spaces between the ‘new’ flats – Bradley Court – in Knoll Road and W H Smith in the High Street. We assumed that the spaces were for residents of the flats. But some must be surplus to requirements, as we see that a notice has appeared by the access barrier.
Which makes us wonder. At what point does hiring out a parking space become a business? Can the Eye hire out its driveway to a load of other drivers without getting permission from ‘anyone’?
After writing the above, we learned that a planning application has been submitted to add further flats to the ground floor of Bradley Court. We reckon that that’s the second proposed expansion to the building since it was completed. We wonder why everything wasn’t done in one go; surely that would have made sense? Or would it have complicated the original planning permission?
