This story goes back something like three years. But the last ‘episode’ was just over a year ago when we reported that a planning application had been submitted to convert Norwich House – at the top of Knoll Road – into fifty three flats. (At the moment an advertisement for office space is still displayed outside the building.)
However, a slightly different application was submitted recently. This time for fifty seven flats: “33 one bedroom and 24 two bedroom flats whilst retaining existing basement car parking.”. Under government ‘rules’ there are few grounds on which this application can be disallowed. We suspect that the conversion will go ahead as and when the owner wishes.
