There’s nothing very newsworthy about this damaged bollard near the top of Park Street – it’s always in the wars.  But there’s an obvious question:  if a bollard is being run into frequently, should it be moved or should it be strengthened??

    • I was going to agree – but then I remembered watching HGV delivery drivers manoeuvring through narrow high streets and backing into delivery areas. That’s a skilled job. So, as the damaged bollard is by the entrance to a service area, I suspect that the road layout must be tricky for a big truck – such as those that deliver to Argos. It’s no excuse, but it makes the damage more understandable….
