Selling advertising space in the town

We remember that, many years ago, it was suggested that the borough council should sell advertising space on the back of car park ‘pay and display’ tickets.  Nothing much came of it – and, of course, the latest car park payment system in Camberley doesn’t need tickets.  However various places in the car park now boast ‘adverts for adverts’ – if you see what we mean.  The exit barriers display them, as do the lift doors in Main Square multi-storey car park.

P1130953bWe’re cautiously in favour of the initiative.  If it raises money for the council (ie money for the residents), it’s got a lot going for it.
