27 equals 29 as far as the library is concerned….

Fair enough, the title of this item is a bit of a puzzle.  But there is an explanation – of sorts.  You probably know that plenty of people broadcast the fact that Camberley’s library would re-open on 29th February.  But it was also rather quietly announced that the library was open yesterday – the 27th.

Don’t take our word for it – these photos, which show the new windows, are water-tight evidence!

Sadly, as we’ve remarked before, the new windows and essential maintenance that has been carried out almost certainly mean that the borough council’s statement of less than a year ago: “Surrey County Council is looking to redevelop the current library site to bring the facilities up to date in a landmark building” no longer applies.  No ‘landmark building’ for us, then.
