Scott has sent us this message: “Good news for Woking – Bad news for Camberley, why is it that Woking seem to be able to deliver ideas, consultation and progress so efficiently for such a large project with relative ease I wonder? Come on Camberley!”

Perhaps part of the answer to Scott’s question could be that the borough council has wasted years in dreaming up an unrealistic scheme for Camberley. The reality is that, unlike the council’s wild ambition, we’re NOT going to be a ‘top 100’ retail town. Which wouldn’t be the end of the world – we could be a very pleasant small town. Sadly, by putting all the eggs in the ‘top 100’ basket, the council has failed to propose, let-alone implement, more suitable and achievable ideas.
