Help for Heroes

We were away a few days ago, when someone alerted us to the fact that all the Help for Heroes shops are closing.  But we can’t find their message, so we can only apologise for not mentioning them further.

Anyway, they were dead right – of course.  Here’s the shop in Camberley with a notice in the window saying that it will be closing on January 17th.

According to their website:

“We have a number of Help for Heroes shops and concessions across the UK. However we are sad to announce that the H4H Trading company will be closing these stores and concessions between now and the end of January 2016.

The stores have experienced tremendous success since opening three years ago – they have been visited by approximately 1,000,000, people and turned over £5.5m in sales.

A big thank you to everyone who has shopped with us, worked in store or given their time to volunteer. None of this would have been possible without your help.

Thanks also to Debenhams who kindly donated space in seven of their stores to Help for Heroes Trading. We continue to work with the retailer raising funds for the charity through the Debenhams Foundation to support those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses.

In the current retail climate, the high-street is facing major challenges and we have evaluated the long-term future of the stores.

Help for Heroes products continue to be available through this website and our Customer Service team on 01725 513212 as well as our stores during January. Please see below details of stores that are open.

We are hugely grateful for your ongoing support. Together, we are rebuilding lives.”
