A few months ago we commented on this bodge to ‘repair’ a damaged inspection cover in the A30 service road pavement. A dollop of asphalt to reduce the hazard.
It’s hardly a surprise to the layman that the dollop didn’t last (presumably the professionals didn’t expect anything else either). This is what the inspection cover looks like now:
Though maintenance of the pavements is a county council responsibility, maybe a utility company is to blame for this unsatisfactory state of affairs. Ah well, as a good citizen, the Eye will report the problem.
