The council’s little sewage problem?

For well over two years we’ve been reporting that the lifts in BHS that link with level 3A of Main Square car park often smell strongly of sewage after heavy rain.  Last week was no exception. (You’ll find one of our previous reports here:  http://wp.me/p3Dlu2-ah).

It occurs to ask whether the borough council, in considering whether to buy Ashwood House (the building that BHS partly occupies), took the cost of solving the sewage problem into account in deciding a suitable price.  What’s the betting that it didn’t? – and that it didn’t even know that there IS a problem.
