Shoe Zone – the inside story

We took a sneaky photo of the inside of the much-modified former Shoe Zone shop in Camberley’s High Street the other day.  This is what it looks like.

You’ll remember, this is the shop from outside.  It hasn’t changed, but the back of the building now has a substantial new extension.

    • Delighted to hear about your – er – ‘sole mate’. But, of course, buying via the internet is bad news for town centres… (I’m just about to clock up 1000 eBay purchases, so I have to plead ‘guilty’ myself).

    • Ah, Martin, I replied to your earlier comment a while ago, and raised the threat that internet sales pose to the high street. I would have thought that clothes and shoes would be pretty immune to this, as people would want to try before they buy. But I gather I’m wrong and that plenty of shoe sales are carried out on line.
